My goal is to give my kids their inheritance when they enter adulthood. The goal is to start with no college debt, hopefully a nice bank account for a down payment on a house or similar, and just a nice boost into life like how it used to be. I don't want to leave a pile of money behind when I'm gone.

That makes so much sense.

How will you know if you’ve left enough for you to live on?

Poor people (not the abjectly poor of course) are the lucky ones: They do NOT have all these problems and can "enjoy" their simple, healthy life.

Carpe diem !!!

Very true. This will certain concentrate wealth in certain parts of society.

100% inheritance tax would solve it maybe.

Thomas Piketty's "Capital in the 21st. Century" deals with the issue.

A 100% inheritance-tax, IF used by an honest government for the benefit of the local public, why not ??

Wide-spread, post-mortem, coerced philanthropy so-to-say ...🤣🤣🤣

Maybe, this would reign-in the boundless greed of some contemporaries and their reckless brood but one caveat though: SHOW me an HONEST government ... 🤔🤔🤔

And maybe make it more palatable by allowing bigger tax free giveaways during your life.

I know!

There are a few big issues driving house prices in London.

The green belt preventing London from expanding outward

Lots of foreign money flowing in

One income households becoming two income households
